My First Online Shopping Experience
I come from South Africa, and I am now an overseas student studying in China’s Peking University in Beijing. I have been living and studying here for almost one years and of course, during the past one year I have seen in part how China changes, how the Chinese change. But what impressed me most is the popularity of Internet here, on line shopping in particular. Nowadays more and more people are now having access to Internet, which leads to the widespread of on-line shopping. It is I think more convenient and efficient than traditional shopping, as we at least don’t have to visit from one shop to another to eye our favorite products, or bargain with the shopkeepers over prices, after-sale service and quality guarantee.
Summer is now in its wings and the weather here is so sultry that even walking can generate sweat in me. I have never experienced this before I came to Beijing, China, and so I decided to buy a pair of dark glasses. I had one but I got it broken months ago. Fortunately I have long been keeping the metal eyeglass frames, as it wears comfortable and make me look handsome, therefore I just have to buy a pair of lenses, leading to save me some money. One of my Chinese classmates recommended a website Aidai.com, which deals in a variety of glasses and dark glasses, both domestically made and imported. This is pretty similar to the one based in New York, www.Firmoo.com, which I used once when I was in South Africa. Usually I’m taken by classes and works and I seldom have spare time to go shopping or sightseeing. So on-line shopping has become a convenient way to buy some daily necessities.
It is my first time to purchase products through the Internet in China, though I have done this often in my hometown. I clicked the site and started scanning the products listed. I’d say the dealer really offers all kinds of glasses and glass-related products accessible to customers in the country. After browsing for some time I spotted one pair, which looks clear and glossy. And comparing the prices I selected one and placed an order. Five days later I got the parcel and I opened it and found a pair of glasses in it with a letter of guarantee offered by the salesman. I felt relieved and of course happy.
That is my first on-line shopping here in Beijing and I believe I will buy more things here through the Internet.
